Blend of New and Used Office Furniture Creates Beautiful, Modern Workspaces in Conshohoken

When EthoSource was chosen to furnish the offices of a healthcare technology company in Pennsylvania, we were excited to come up with a creative blend of new, used and refurbished office furniture to create the look and feel that the company wanted.  Not only was this a great way to find an affordable solution to designing a high-end office environment, but it also meant a unique result that suits their employee needs and looks great!

The company is located in Conshohoken, PA, just miles from our King of Prussia Showroom and within an hour from our Morgantown Headquarters.  EthoSource has worked with many other Philadelphia area companies to provide office furniture management services, but every project is so different in their own unique style and needs, and this project was no exception. Through the blending of new and used office furniture throughout the space, the company was able to get a modern office environment that was customized to their desired look and feel.


The company chose to utilize our current As-Is inventory of Herman Miller Ethospace and then customize the stations with the subtle additions of pieces supplemented from our regular Ethospace inventory.  This enabled them to add accent pieces and accessories that fit their needs in each station.  The stations were typically an open, bullpen layout that had two employees sharing a common space with a small divider between their work surfaces and a higher spine to retain their individual privacy.  Each user had a rail tile with paper management shelves and dividers, as well as an overhead light, a box/box/file pedestal and under-surface shelf.   In many cases, the stations also shared a common mobile table with additional task chair to allow for impromptu meetings and togetherness.  The design of these stations in the space effectively incorporated a nice balance of both collaboration and privacy.

Cubicles weren’t the only thing that EthoSource provided to help this healthcare software company furnish their office space.  The company also created new meeting areas with two of our pre-owned conference tables, and throughout the workspace, they added new chairs including the Grace Chair, our very own conference/executive chair line, as well as additional seating by JAL and Compel.


Due to noise restrictions in the Conshohoken borough, EthoSource made early deliveries to ensure the product arrived on time and was installed in the time frame the company needed.  Throughout the process, we worked closely with the electrician and building management as we finalized scheduling details and any physical building aspects that needed to be accounted for and prepared while installing the product.  All of the delivery and installation was handled by our partner, Systems Furniture Specialists of Norristown, PA.

The end result of the project was a beautiful, high-end workplace environment that fit within the company’s budget and suited their specific needs.  As a leading provider of clinical and financial management software with a diverse team of employees, it was very beneficial for the company to be able to customize their office design by blending new and used product that incorporated their desired fabrics, finishes and ergonomics. EthoSource was glad to have the opportunity to help this local company  with their office furniture project and love their new look!
