1. How long have you been at EthoSource? 2 years this month!

2. How did you get into the design field?  I went to college at IUP and originally studied Marketing.  Going into my Junior year I changed my major to Interior Design.  I was always interested and enjoyed interior design, but didn’t pursue it at first, not knowing if I’d be able to find a job in the field, so I went into Marketing. I figured I could still be creative with that.  I thought about it often and finally decided to switch – and do what would make me happy.  I saw too many people who were unhappy with their careers, and I didn’t want to proceed with something I knew wasn’t my first choice.

I interned for a design firm in Rehoboth Beach, DE the summer before graduation and over Christmas/Spring break.  I worked there as a full time employee after graduating until I moved back to PA and got this job at Ethosource in December 2012!

3. What does a typical work day for you entail?  There are a couple of different aspects to the design process.  I am often working along side our sales reps in having conversations back and forth with various customers to get a sense of their office style, how they will be using their space and what kind of culture they want to achieve with their office design.  I’ll work with their space plans to show them options for their layout and narrow down heights, sizes and other component details before guiding them through all of our new and as-is fabrics and finishes to customize their furniture!

4. What is your favorite part about working at EthoSource?  Working with co-workers who make coming to work enjoyable 🙂

5. What chair do you sit in? An Eames Chair

6. Describe yourself in 3 words… Optimistic, Creative & Caring

7. What do you enjoy doing outside of work? I truly enjoy being surrounded by family and friends, but I also love to keep myself busy with crafty things, and heading to the beach when I have an open weekend!
