How long have you been at EthoSource?
This July will mark my first year working at EthoSource.
What is a typical day at work for you entail/What are your responsibilities?
As a designer for EthoSource, I am responsible for a wide range of tasks throughout all phases of each project. I typically start each project using CAD to draft preliminary space plans, maximizing the client’s space while also adhering to all safety guidelines and building codes. I then build Ethospace furniture systems using CAP, and generate 3D views and renderings to help our clients visualize the finished product. Once an order is placed, I also pull all parts and pieces of the systems from our inventory system. Lastly, I provide our installers with installation plans for onsite assembly.
Why did you choose to pursue a career in design?
As cliché as it may sound, my initial interest in Interior Design derived from watching TLC’s Trading Spaces. As a kid I constantly was re-arranging and organizing my own room, and also convinced my friends they needed my help to re-arrange theirs. I once persuaded my Dad to paint pink and yellow vertical stripes in my bedroom… a project I regrettably admit to being one of my first. When it was time for college, I decided to pursue this passion and turn it into a career.
What is your favorite part about working at EthoSource?
I love the fact that EthoSource utilizes pre-owned materials and is capable of refurbishing to make new again. I think it is important to be considerate of our impact on the environment, and EthoSource provides a more eco-friendly alternative to office furniture.
What’s your favorite chair/what do you sit in?
My favorite chair is the Grace Highback.
What is one gadget or personal item that you couldn’t live without?
I cannot remember the last day I went without using my Spotify Premium app.

What are some of your favorite things to do outside of work?
I enjoy weekend trips to visit friends, playing with my dog, crafting, pinterest-ing, eating snacks and napping. I also love to ski and snowboard.
What is the best advice someone has ever given you?
As Joe Dirte once said, “Life’s a garden, dig it!”
