Customized Cubicles Perfect Fit for New Headquarters

98631v2v1To celebrate their 25 years of growth as a world leader in ticketing software, Gateway Ticketing broke ground on the construction of a new 42,000 sq. ft. global headquarters in Boyertown, PA.

Gateway chose EthoSource to design and provide all their new systems furniture due to their ability to offer high-quality product at extremely affordable prices. With a brand new, multi-level building, the project created a blank canvas for EthoSource to design and layout workstations that would suit each individual employee’s needs.  The result was 89 completely original, top-of-the-line workstations filling two stories of Gateway’s impressive new office building.

Herman Miller cubicles When EthoSource received the floor plan details, designer, Jenna Kurtz, was presented the opportunity to take full creative liberty of the workstation layouts. She offered two initial possibilities, one with standard 90-degree connections and another with more unique 120-degree connections.  What she thought was just a starting point to gage Gateway’s flexibility toward a unique design became the company’s new vision for their space.  After little deviation from the original 120-degree proposal, their new office design was established.

Jenna worked closely with Gateway to provide various product offerings such as fabric and surface finishes that helped the company customize their unique cubicles even further to match their desired look and feel.  Each occupant was able to choose from whiteboards, overhead storage units, shelves and other accessories that they wanted in their workstation.  They were also given the choice of incorporating a standing height work surface in addition to their seated work surface for multiple ways to work throughout the day.

Gateway3 The physical layout of the new building presented challenges during the installation that required EthoSource and their installation partners from Systems Furniture Specialists to get creative.  Angled walls and door frames made parts of the space tricky to layout and install.  With no elevator access, installers used a boom lift from outside of the building to access a roof top door in order to unload product. Columns in the center of the floor space also required installers to build the stations around them, which they managed seamlessly.

The completed project involved two phases: the second floor’s 46 stations were completed first then the additional 43 stations were installed on the first floor.  In combination, the cubicles featured mobile pedestals, stationary pedestals, brand new work surfaces, frosted glass and five different refurbished fabrics over pre-owned frames and tiles.  By choosing refurbished Ethospace workstations, Gateway was able to customize the styles and colors they wanted for their offices, but at a fraction of the cost of new.  In addition, the stations are extremely versatile, allowing EthoSource to make any surface height, accessory or tile adjustments the company would like made once they are settled and utilizing their new stations.

Gateway is very happy with their new offices, and EthoSource is thrilled to have been Trpart of their 25 year celebration by providing them the unique workstations they need to continue to do what they do best!
